Before Starting Your Journey...

This book was originally a class structured like a college science class, only with metaphysical subject matter. There was over ten hours of lecture with an equal or more amount of time for lab and questions. I planned to tape the class and transcribe the tapes to make a textbook.

The class aspect did not work out as expected. So, Jeannie and I did the class 'thing' with only the two of us. We taped it. Jeannie transcribed the tapes and we both edited it. The questions that appear throughout this piece are hers. The questions help give this book a semblance of the class it was originally intended as.

It is just as well that the class idea did not manifest. A tremendous amount of editing had to be done to the tape transcriptions. (As evidenced by large segments of text without Jeannie's input.) My language usage conjoined with the subject matter made the tapes redundant and vague.

What has been set up in this work is a class on metaphysics with a physical science format. There will be an involvement with, and stress on, cause and effect relationships, metaphysical as with the physical. It is to be hoped that the book itself can act as a science or mathematics textbook.

Just as a person does not have to be a rocket scientist or a math genius to teach physics from a textbook, it is to be hoped that a person does not have to be a saint to teach out of this book. With a science format, hopefully, continuity will be maintained - something that does not always occur when spiritual teachings span generations.

Originally, each class was set up to begin with a lecture and would end with a lab of some sort. However, with a metaphysical subject matter such as this, the individual is the laboratory. Unlike a regular physical science class where the individuals must set up the conditions apart from themselves; the individual, in order to verify what is being covered in this class must set up specific conditions within themselves to work with the concepts involved. They must set up conditions for knowledge of divine aspects. Conditions are needed to verify the truth, just as the math example of the geometry postulate in the prologue.

Jeannie asked me, when we started the taping, "Why do I have to set up conditions if it's Truth?" The answer is: because almost everything within you is temporally related. Each thought and feeling that you have has a beginning and an end. They are temporal. So, in order to experience that which is the Eternal, you must set up Eternal conditions, or start looking towards that which has Eternal aspects to verify anything that has to do with the Eternal.

In order to work with the Eternal, we must get out of temporal situations and/or conditions. A set of homework assignments has been set up with this class so that these conditions can be experienced or experimented with outside of class. Also, with the execution of the exercises, individuals can become familiar with some of the metaphysical mechanics involved.

The conditions are there for the individual to see the cause and effect relationships within themselves. You put heat under water and it will boil. However, to perceive the cause and effect relationship in this instance, you need water, a pot, and fire. With this particular class, most of the stuff starts from inside you. You can start from the outside but the individual has to turn the fire on, so to speak, to see the water boil within them.

In geometry, there are sets of points. These points, which take up no space, are just identification references. However, specific sets of points in plane geometry are called lines and planes. This gives the non-dimensional points a dimensional reference.

As in the math analogy, a person must start setting certain conditions within in order to begin a structuring inside him or herself. Just as geometry structures a set of points into lines, the conditions are reference points that are being used as a platform to expand beyond the temporal.

The class will be working with Truth: Absolute, Infinite, Eternal, and Universal. Truth can be applied to all situations. These Truths work when applied independent of belief. That means you do not have to believe them to see that they are true. An individual has to set up the conditions and the cause and effect relationship will automatically show they are true. These Truths can withstand any amount of questioning because Truth is Eternal and never changes. Only illusion and delusion cannot stand up to questioning.

The use of capitals, i.e., Love, Logic, Eternal, etc., are not only to ascribe divine attributes to these terms, but are also meant to portray the Absolutes in those terms. It portrays Love to the nth degree, which is God's Love. This implies no matter what quality Love is implied in this book, there is a quality beyond that. The same is true with Logic, Truth, Matrix, etc.

Everything in this book I have learned in this life. I wanted to put together a book I wish were around when I first started experimenting inside myself. Most of the important exercises I learned between the ages of 9-23. This book is an attempt to paint a metaphysical picture with words and concepts.

The cartoons and jokes are an attempt to lighten-up the book. Cartoons can add a perspective to a text that the text itself cannot do alone.

Since this is only one finite language version of an Infinite and Eternal logic system, I am shooting for giving the text as much depth as possible. In addition, because this book is a finite version of the Absolute, it truly cannot be regarded as definitive. In fact, if anyone says something like, "This is THE BOOK." you can tell them the book says, "They're full of shit."
