Chapter 7
Psychic Phenomenon
Psychic Forms
Chapter 6 gives numerous exercises for manipulating, or setting aside, the temporal matrix/mind. You are not your temporal matrix.1 You are not the mental/emotional sets that run through the matrix.
A partial list of the psychic phenomena covered in this book is extra sensory perception (ESP) forms (telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and geomancy), any form of scrying, magic, miracles, etc. Except for miracles, what they all have in common is a perception of other-ness. (Miracles are a correction to that perception of other-ness). The information relates to something outside of the perceiver,2 which then is applicable to the Perceptional Lens Array.
You will notice, what is not covered in this chapter are things like channeling, spirits, telekinetics, etc. This book concerns itself with primary associations. It focuses on the immediate operation of the human matrix. Where channeling, etcetra, are secondary applications,3 they are not relevant to individual growth on a daily level.
This chapter is a natural extension of the previous chapter because psychic perception is a side effect of having an empty mind. When you begin to step outside of your temporal matrix, the only thing left is the Eternal Matrix -- accordingly, with all the knowledge (and Creation capabilities) that is in the Matrix.
That means we have access to everything that can be known, at any place or at any time. Psychic phenomenon is a flow of information traveling from the Matrix to your matrix. This makes all psychic phenomena a form of telepathy. Knowledge or information is being shared between minds (mind to mind and Mind to mind).
A beginning definition for telepathy is the sharing of an idea by apparently separate minds without any physical form of communication of that idea. Usually this occurs in the same moment of time, and it does not necessarily have to happen that way. The common perception of telepathy is for two or more temporal/spatial minds to share this idea. The other forms of psychic phenomenon and ESP are an effect of a temporal/spatial mind sharing an idea with the Eternal Mind.
What we associate as communication is a sharing of ideas between at least two individual BTRs. This is facilitated by a BTR they have in common (room, broadcast system, phone system, etc.) and the information is carried from one individual's BTR to another by smaller BTRs (words and sounds, photons or electrons, printed symbols, etc.). ESP deals with information related to a BTR, away from individual's BTR, in another time/space reference (BTR), with no BTRs in common.
Much of psychic phenomenon fits in the category of ESP. Extra Sensory Perception is a perception of actual physical reality through non-physical means.4 Clairvoyance is a form of ESP where you mentally see an event that is in another spatial/temporal reference from the perceiver's physical body. The operator sees an event that is occurring or will occur in another time and space. Clairvoyance comes to the individual through imagery.
With clairaudience, instead of the information coming in imagery, it comes in sounds.
Geomancy tends to be a feeling the operator gets when he/she touches rocks or something of earth. It also can be related to psychic use of geometric figures.
Kinesthetic? That your perceptions come through your body?
Oh yeah. You mean more like feelings?
Yes. Sensate.
Geomancy is not the only ESP that manifests that way. I was using geomancy as a reference of perception through feeling. Some people can visually see things using geomancy. Geomancy can refer to the material (ground, rocks, and earth) or a geometric figure that the operator is using to guide their perception. Geomancy usually tends to be a feeling, like dowsing water. I will come back to that sensate idea a little later.
Please note that extra sensory perception parallels physical perceptual senses; images to sight, sounds to hearing, feelings to touch, etc. Those people who are visually oriented tend to get ESP in images. Those people who are audio orientated tend to get their ESP in sounds or words or sentences. When I first started playing with this subject and started picking things up from people, different people would have a different taste for me.
The relationship between ESP and physical senses in terms of which came first or what stems from what, is not important to learning this subject. The student should be aware that some of the parallels between the physical senses and ESP senses exist. What can apply to the use of one, in most cases, can apply to the use of the other.
This perception of an external event through ESP -- how we indirectly see something outside us and away from us -- can come in two basic vectors. One vector is through our internal matrix vehicle: from Truth, to our knowledge storage, and from there it can manifest in various ways to our awareness in the Focus Control Buss (Figure 4.4, III). Nothing outside of us facilitates this seeing. It is an internal process and the information just comes.
The other vector ESP can make itself known is through an external vehicle. It is still an internal process, but the operator is using something external as a catalyst. This can vary from a simple object -- as in geomancy -- to a complete thought system and philosophy. Most forms of scrying use this external 'whatever' as a vector to receive information. The operator may use a crystal ball or a mirror or smoke. This form of ESP also includes the Tarot, the I Ching, astrology, runes, etc.
What's scrying?
It is a specialized form of clairvoyance. Scrying is using a physical object to see something outside, instead of an image constructed inside of your head. A person might use a black mirror, a crystal ball, or a pool of water.
A candle?
A candle, yes. Almost anything can be used.
Here is an excellent example. A friend of mine, in the army, would use the pattern of cloth. Specifically, he would use the pattern that was left on a plate of hashish after the wrapping of cheesecloth was removed. He would take the cheesecloth off, look into the pattern of the cloth on the hashish and he saw things.5 Most people who scry use a simple object.
When a predetermined symbol system like Tarot or the I Ching, runes, astrology, or whatever is used, the symbol system serves as a vector for the ESP operation. With thought systems such as these, life and/or the human condition is broken up into symbols of Absolute, actual, consensual, or individual reality archetypes/truths. Some of the archetypes of the I Ching are heaven, earth, wandering, foolishness, etc. Some of the Tarot's archetypes are strength, cycles, disruption, illumination, etc.
A 'reading' would consist of formulating a question and letting Love answer through the given symbols of the archetypes. Whatever you give to Love, it will use. Usually, though, the question has to be very specific. Astrology is essentially a way of reading the patterns of relationships involving the temporal bubbles of planets and stars and how they relate to individual temporal bubbles. ESP plays a role in the interpretation of those patterns.
With scrying forms of divination like cards, Tarot cards, the I Ching, or even astrology, there is an external reference other than the actual event itself (the cards and a thought system). Your perception, which is using an external gizmo, is now twice removed from the actual event.6
The first vector I mentioned is where the information comes from the inside. The second one is where the individual is using something outside to focus their mind on in order to draw forth the information. The external is just something to help them. The external object tends to trigger something internal within the operator. Scrying, with an object, is usually done by beginners, or by people who have a strong preference or talent for that particular art.
Just a tool.
It's just a tool. However, it can be a very useful learning tool. Something that can help the student get in touch with a mechanism inside. Once they get in touch with that mechanism, the tool may no longer be needed. One of the biggest dangers of using a tool in the metaphysical (and almost everything else) is to think you are dependent on it.
Using any external tool to learn ESP is very analogous to using tools to learn how to walk. A child puts their weight on the sofa or a coffee table for a while. The ideal, though, is to let the sofa or coffee table go. The Tarot and the I Ching, the crystal ball, or the black mirror are like the sofa. The ideal is to be able to do that in the head without having to need anything from the outside.
Again, it does not make any difference what the operator is using. It all starts with the mind. The only difference between using something outside of you instead of inside is it may be easier to use something outside of you to help create the mental image. However, the internal vector alone is better, because that's where the process starts -- inside. The operator is doing with the physical object what they had to do inside their mind anyway.
Experimental results will come with practice and the right motivation. The student is using the Correction, and the Love behind the Correction. Whenever an individual wants to see the whole picture, of which they are a part -- whenever you are inclusive in your perspective and desires -- God/Love will work with you.
Another aspect of psychic phenomena is astral projection, which is the mind leaving the physical body. Then there are the higher forms of psychic phenomena, which includes magic, miracles, and spiritual manifestations. This is just a partial list. In order to keep it short, I have focused on telepathy, clairvoyance, scrying, magic, and miracles. As stated before, they all boil down to being forms of telepathy anyway.

3 An interesting side note here: if you are going to channel a spirit, why deal with anything short of God? You limit your options otherwise. Why not channel that which is inherent within you already?
4 Hence it being called the sixth sense; a sense other than the five physical ones -- sight, touch, hearing, taste, or smell.
5 His accuracy was very good.
6 In using a construct like the I Ching or Tarot, the instance when psychic phenomenon may not be true presents itself. The temporal construct (I Ching, Tarot, etc.) 'reads' from this moment in time onward, based on choices that have made up to that moment in time. However, having 'free choice' means that the reading can change sometime in the future; because somebody, somewhere, made a choice so the reading is no longer relevant. Admittedly, this occurs with beginners. The more skilled in the psychic can see a little further.
