One dream at a time
One I love you
I want to be
And share my life
Get high, create, and talk, and laugh
Hold hands with you
Cook food, visit friends and jam
Road trip together
Build things
Sculpt, garden, forest
Throw potlucks, workshops, circles
Dosing the punch at parties
Swim naked
Dance under the moon
Climb mountains
Cuddle up on the couch and watch movies
Discuss the future of our planet
Deciding how to address it
And healing the world together...
I sing and sing and sing this siren song
And will, 'til you receive my tune
Drifting upon this sea
A solitary sailor
Pouring his heart into poems
Distillation of the soul
Which I toss into the ocean
Clear and cryptic draughts
Prepared to be found
Tasted and understood
By you...
Yes... only when we attain our union
Will all the poems and puzzles
Dreams and truths
Seemingly disjointed events
Assemble of their own volition
Forming the framework of God's view
We are the windows
We are the doors
We are the walls
We are the floors
We are the miracles
Which, gathering together
Connect with love
Opening to be filled with the spirit
Of all possibility
I know... I know... I know
And I don't know
I know... and I don't know
That we breathe life into an inanimate world
Are the sleeping giant that will wake
Our love is all it takes...
One dream at a time
One I love you
One day I'll find myself with you.
