           A G D A
Julie catch a rabbit by his hair
           Bm A G D
Come back steppin' like to walk on air
           D A
Get back home where you belong
                  E A E A A Thing (1st verse only)
And don't you run off no more

Don't hang your head and let the two time roll
Grass shack nailed to a pinewood floor
Ask the time, baby, I don't know
           E D
Come back later, gonna let it show

                                       A E D
And I say row, Jimmy, row
                                   A E D
Gonna get there, I don't know
                                      A E D
Seems a common way to go
                                               A E A
Get down and row, row, row, row, row
                                     *Solo* (verse)

Here's a half a dollar if you dare
Double twist when you hit the air
           Look at Julie down below
           The levee doin' the dopaso

And I say row, Jimmy, row
Gonna get there, I don't know
Seems a common way to go
Get down and row, row, row, row, row
                                     *Solo* (verse)

Broken heart don't feel so bad
You ain't got half of what you thought you had
Rock your baby to and fro
Not too fast, and not too slow

And I say row, Jimmy, row
Gonna get there, I don't know
Seems a common way to go
Get down and row, row, row, row, row

That's the way it's been in town
                                    A G D
Ever since they tore the jukebox down
                                    A Bm C#m D
Two bit piece don't buy no more
                                    E D
Not so much as it done before

And I say row, Jimmy, row
Gonna get there, I don't know
Seems a common way to go
Get down and row, row, row, row, row

And I say row, Jimmy, row
Gonna get there, I don't know
Seems a common way to go
Get down and row, row, row ,row, row
Get down and row, row, row ,row, row
Oh, get down and row, row, row, row, row
                                                                                         Bm A G D A

After the 1st verse, the other verses are all structured the same. When you get to a D at the end of any line, hang on that D for an extra measure. The timing in this song is very interesting.

   A Thing:
       e |--------------------------
       B |--------------------------
       G |--------------------------
       D |-1h2-1-0------------------
       A |---------3h4-0-----0---0--
       E |---------------2-0---0----

     h = hammer-on

What a long strange trip it's been!
