E Thing
I've been to London, seen seven wonders
I know to trip is just to fall
I used to rock it, sometimes I'd roll it
I always knew what it was for
F#m E D
There can be no denyin'
F#m A E
That the wind'll shake 'em down
F#m E D
And the flat world's flyin'
F#m A E
And the new flag on the land
F#m E D
...just join hands
C#m B
If we could just join hands
A (G)
If we could just join
Love fills the planet where heaven sent me
I saw the kings who rule them all
Still by the firelight and purple moonlight
I hear the rest is reversible
And the wind is cryin'
On the love that won't go cold
My lover, she is lying
On the dark side of the globe
If we just join hands
If we could just join hands
If we could just join hands
*Bridge* (E) D D D D D E E (slide down) (x4)
E D D D D D E E(slide down)
You got me rockin' when I ought to be a-rollin'
Darlin', tell me darlin', which way to go
You keep me rockin' baby, then you keep me swollen
Won't you tell me darlin', which way to go
that's right...
*Solo* (chorus)
Oh how I wonder, oh how I worry
And I would dearly like to know
I've all this wonder of earthly plunder
Will it leave us anything to show?
And our time is flyin'
See the candle burnin' low
Is the new world rising
From the shambles of the old
If we just join hands
If we could just join hands
If we could just, if we could just, if we could just
If we could just, if we could just join hands...

It helps to have an amp with a lot of balls and a good phaser. There is
no chorus overlay during the lead. The outro is a jam around the E Thing
with some theme and variation going off into lead with hints of the
bridge (E & D) while the bass holds a steady "E".
